Why can't I continue to follow certain posts?

It looks like they have been moved to the "Omni" forum--why can't I look at them there? I can't find any information about what kind of "privileges" or posting history you need to have in order to look there, :(

You need to be a member for 180 days and have 180 posts to gain access to Omni.

Ha! I've been a member since December 2004; clearly I should just rattle on even when I have nothing to say.

If you did that, HOM could knock your post count backwards. Be warned. However, you might want to send a PM to HOM or Randy requesting access, given how long you've been registered.

Or you could contribute more in the area of points and miles like most of the rest of us. ;)

I wonder if this policy has recently changed. One of the moderators closed this thread on UA rather than move it to OMNI, as the poster did not have OMNI access. This is the first time I've seen that reason posted.

I noticed that I can see threads form the coupon connection. Once I hit 180 days, and I look for New Posts, will the list be cluttered up with threads from OMNI?

Probably close to a FT record, if not a record. :D

Sorry for the frown....

Really, I can't think of a single thread directly related to the goals of FlyerTalk - knowledge and opinion of miles, points and travel that you would be restricted to. OMNI is solely for off-topic topics and was actually introduced by own own members as a way to "unclutter" the topics I have noted above.

We try and not promise you the world, other than the world of miles, points and travel.

While we are not trying to be too "elite" with the requirements for OMNI benefits, just like hotels, airlines and others, the more positive contributions you make to FlyerTalk in general, the more benefits you will be eligible for.

Hope this helps. Thanks for understanding that our first priority is helping you get more out of your miles, your points and your travel experiences.
