Can moderators access "search" when search is disabled?

That's the question.

Note: I would very much appreciate a straight answer from Randy, without a lot of "noise" in the interim. Thank you very much.

So even though I know the answer to the question, you want to wait and hear it from Randy?

cblaisd Mar 2, 2005 10:11 pm

I too know the answer, and am capable of conveying it straightly.

FewMiles Mar 2, 2005 10:17 pm

Why not e-mail or PM Randy?

FewMiles..

Why can't you PM one of the other moderators that you are friendly with for the answer? And even if moderators do have access to the search function when it is disabled, why is that something you need to know?

Why can't one of you moderators just answer the question? Is it a state secret?

There is no need for games...

Where is the game coming from?

If a moderator feels qualified to, and is willing to, provide a straight answer to the question, then, please, by all means, do so.

My "note" was made in hopes of avoiding the type of gang-banging that occurred the last time I asked Randy a straight, general information, question on ORP.

His deleting the off-topic responses to that previous post, coupled with his subsequent very polite and informative response to my original question, would indicate that he was not particularly thrilled with the "attack" process that typically occurs following the posting of any procedural question, no matter how polite or sincere.

So, if there is a moderator who prefers to dispense with the games, and answer the question, please do so. If not, would you all please be so kind as to withhold further comment until Randy has time to respond. Thank you.

Yes, the moderators still have search capabilities.

Thank you Missy/Madame President. :)

So, which is it? You seem to want it both ways.

No, the moderators do not have search capabilities.

One or more of these statements may be untrue. :D

Punki has her answer. The question is closed. By the way, both of your posts are just the type of "noise" she was trying to avoid.
