spell check
I will stray from the custom of sending randy our complaints and instead ask a question: can you add a spell check option next to "submit post" so that we can eliminate errors before we finalize a post and not need to go back and edit for spelling mistakes. I think that the format yahoo uses in its e-mail program would be great!!!!

The correct forum I guess for this was 'Technical Issues' and it has been raised there MANY times before.
IIRC UBB software simply does not offer spelling as an option, although I recall Randy posting he of all folks would have it loaded if it WERE an option. The free program I noted above works for many here. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
If we got spell check, would arturo be completely spell checked out of existence? I would hope not. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Foreigners should keep in mind that it uses American spelling. If we must have a machine to tell us how to spell, could we at least make sure that the machine spells English properly rather than in the dreadful hybrid way that most people round here seem to use? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Harmonize. Surprize. Prioritize. Experize. Harmonize. *******ize. And don't get me started on gray, lite, color, catalog, jewelry, check, center, etc. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mad.gif And who decided that March 5 was somehow 3/5/03 confusing the rest of the world who use the far more sensible styling 5/3/03.
