FlyerTalk Live Winners
Randy,
Do you think that it is appropriate to type in the real names for the winners of the last FlyerTalk Live? I listed it below (breaking my own rule) though there are hot links to this info on almost every page of your site. FF FlyerTalk Live! winners posted by flyertalk (03-19-2001 through 03-26-2001) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We'd like to announce the five winners during the last FlyerTalk Live! chat session on March 15, which featured Russ Hinckley, Managing Director of the Northwest WorldPerks program. Russ was kind enough to bring along a whole plane full of WorldPerks miles to give away to those that looked in during the chat. Since WorldPerks features off-peak coach awards at only 20,000 miles, the 100,000 mile bonanza allowed us to pick five winners at random. Here they are - congrats to the winners and thanks again to Northwest WorldPerks. Scott M. Rosen (scott) Mitchell A Radella (radella) Mrs. Virginia L. Doehler (ginbit) John W Harpster (winston) Mr. Craig J. Duhaime (duhey2) |
Perhaps the winners gave permission to Webflyer to publish their names?

It was more to stay in compliance with several published guidelines for open sweepstakes as this was. Also, the live chats are open to the public rather than strictly "members only" and because of that, we were advised to fully disclose the winners names which as you might know from all national sweepstakes has to be made available to anyone who requests that information. We don't disclose winners addresses or email links or anything personal about them other than the fact, they are winners. "Outside influences" might describe our decision choice, and actually we're comfortable operating these bonus offerings in the public eye. No funny stuff here, though we were inundated with requests from others who really, really wanted to win the miles.....
Let's see if your name comes up with United Mileage Plus in April..... |
thank you for your explanation Randy - I guess that linking real names to 'aka' was not a necessity?
