Dorian, this is a serious matter and I have to agree with Hyfly. You are not helping. If you do not like the thread, stay away. Many of us at DL are very upset, and should you ever have the problems we are currently facing, we would support you. So, either help, go away, or ignore the threads.

JRF...I have NO problem at all with this topic.

What I have a problem with is someone going to 10+ other forums and posting about it there! Spamming in other threads is severely uncool.

JRF...I honestly hope Randy answers you and/or you get your DL problems resolved to your satisfaction.

One more thing...can you please tell me how I can "ignore the threads" when he is posting in many others with different subjects?! How in the world would I know to ignore them?

I now understand, thanks for making it clearer to me. My feeling is that the way Randy is treating Delta people at the moment could happen to UA, CO or anyone else on the board. The matter is so serious, that it needs to be posted everywhere so everyone on the board is forced to take action with it.

Bottom line, if Randy is in fact refusing to help us, and is no longer unbiased (how would we know what he is actually doing as we are accusing him in absentia, no fault of anyone but himself) he may do it to you or anyone else.

I am not one for spamming, but matters are as grave as they get. I assume you would only have to put up with spamming for a few more days, as the DL people are about to start their own board for Delta matters. Any members of Flyertalk that want unbiased information on DL will have left Flyertalk (on DL issues) in a few days and spamming will have stopped.

Apologies from me to you, on behalf of all the Delta posters. We are really shaken up by Randy's behavior (or lack of) as a professional unbiased editor.

I don't mean this in a bad way but I have never felt like Randy has some responsibility to me regarding my FFPs. I just consider him the owner of FT. Maybe I should reconsider?

I am interested in the specific reason you and others believe Randy should "intervene". (and to others out there who may be a bitter hyper...remain calm...I am just curious...the facts.)

Hello all.

Well, it sounds like you have some serious business with Randy going on here. This is just to let you know that Randy is on a very lengthy business trip at the moment and that, that is the reason you haven't heard from him on your issues. This particular thread is of great interest to him and he has asked that I download the transcripts of your chat from Tuesday. This I did on Wednesday morning.

I'm in the process of trying to decipher, from the log files, exactly what was discussed that night. Can anybody tell me what room you were in when you held your chat? I want to get the content to Randy so that he can comment on it if he so wishes. Any feedback you might have would be greatly appreciated.

The chat was Tuesday 5th, and effectively started at about 6.50 pm Eastern time and we continued until about 8.15-8.30 Eastern time. We were in the Buzz as the option to create other rooms seemed to be switched off at the time.

Michael - Since you have the transcripts and you are downloading them anway, is it possible for you to post them somewhere publically for those readers who were not able to make the chat?

I am happy that Randy is interested in this. This particular thread was begun on 8/1. Randy has replied to other threads since then (8/24, 737's) so the explination of his lack or comments and absence due to a lengthy business trip is a bit hollow. IMHO

We have created a separate DL board to discuss the issues of the FT991 (System Wide Upgrade) removal and FF 2001 changes. http://www.ff-talk.com So, the spamming and constant complaining on this board about the problem can be minimized or eliminated.

At the same time, our limited spamming seems to have opened at least one door, as Michael from Web Flyer posted a comment above stating that Randy was looking for info from our chat. If you get a chance (and the invitation is open to you to Randy) check out our new DL FF2001 site www.ff-talk.com .
