Logos for Randy...a competition?

Randy,

I got thinking (I know, I know)...how about a competition for new logos for your new 'divisions' (webflyernet.com and frequentflyer.net).

I think these are great extensions to your business but these logos need some help big time! (whoever designed them, I am in Orlando ) Your FT logo is great...Webflyer and the two new ones...well...enuf said.

Don't get me wrong...you provide a great service to US ALL and I APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH (looks like I will even make my first 'event' with a little 'push' from Catman!)...how 'bout those graphically talented individuals send you some samples or something?

Dorian....

p.s. if not...I understand...just and idea...

My ideas (I can't draw)

Why not a mascot for Flyertalk. Yes we can use airplanes but EVERYONE uses airplanes.

Let's say an animal.

let's say... LIKE... A CAT! OR TWO

One sits in the cockpit seat of the plane or stretched acrossed the plane with a captain's hat one. (To represent the airline/flying)

the other pops out of a open suitcase (hotels and car rental and other stuff)

AND MAY I OFFER MY CATS AS MASCOTS? They know FF programs.

Someone can do the artwork. LIke animated cartoon characters. I can't draw.

AND FOR THOSE CRITICS AMONG US SPARE THE COMMENTARY AND E-MAIL ME DIRECTLY WITH THEM!

Dorian: your logos look nice too.

I must disagree with Catman (one time in my life that I ever will...)

I like the doorman's work. Plus, the common bond between all of us is airplanes, but a common bond between only some of us is cats. Some people don't like cats. I had a "friend" that didn't like cats.

Bostonboy,

I agree...the common bond is flying and airplanes...that is what should be represented in the logos. A logo should make one remember and know what a company is about.

Might I suggest that if we do get a new logo, it be placed in a downloadable file so that we can incorporate it into FF business cards. I found a picture of a 747 in Corel Draw, I believe, which I shrunk, added some periods after it, to make it look like it was moving, and placed the whole thing in the upper left corner of the card. It looks neat and it wasn't that difficult.
