InsideFlyer Oneworld Review
I was reading the review of the oneworld alliance on the web version of your magazine.
Just wanted to clarify something (make sure I'm correct), because this is misleading.
To my knowledge, you can only combine US/AA miles on flights that involve only US/AA. If you are booking a ticket with a partner of either airline, the miles must come from that airline.
For example, if I wanted to book a RTW award ticket, I cannot use any US miles.
Am I correct? The article makes it sound like you can combine miles for any award, but I think that is incorrect.
BTW, Any idea what will happen to AA/US now?

For example, if earning miles within the oneworld alliance is your priority, American AAdvantage is probably the best choice. AAdvantage members can reap the benefits of American's domestic partnership with US Airways' program, Dividend Miles. The US Airways partnership allows AAdvantage members to pool miles with Dividend Miles when redeeming select awards. Through the US Airways alliance, AAdvantage members who hold American Express cards can also tap into US Airways' partnership with American Express Membership Rewards and convert reward points into Dividend Miles at a 1-to-1 ratio. They can then pool the Dividend Miles with AAdvantage miles to redeem awards in either program.

WHEN YOU COMBINE MILES FROM US / AA FF PROGRAMS YOU CAN ONLY TRAVEL ON US OR AA. NO PARTNERS AND THAT DOES INCLUDE OW PARTNERS. THE PROGRAM IS WONDERFUL BUT IT DOES LIMIT YOU.

AS FAR AS THE US/AA PARTNERSHIP, I BELIVE IT WILL STAY ACTIVE UNTIL AND IF THE UA/US DEAL IS FINAL.

I think that this article is pretty clear:
"The US Airways partnership allows AAdvantage members to pool miles with Dividend Miles when redeeming select awards."
Thus not all awards are available for the pooled miles.
I do find it odd that Randy (who is great!) starts his latest AirMail by saying that the magazine made a "terrible" error by putting the wrong page number on the cover of their last month's issue. While this issue again has many inaccuracies. Randy - you really should have somebody proof your magazine carefully before it goes out. And correct or refute ltters to the editors that may be inaccurate or misleading.
Of of the many errors in this issue is an EyeSpy telling you to go to aolaadvantage.com to sign up for a Citibank checking account. Elsewhere in the same issue you say that the site is not up yet. As article on USAirways double miles promotions says that TWA is is only carrier to match "United's" promotion, etc. And yes, I do read your magazine cover to cover. Do keep up the good work, but maybe hire a proofreader?
