When is the 7th Edition of The Offical Frequent Flyer Guidebook planned to be published? When will preorders start being accepted?

Thanks for your interest. We have a regular plan to release the book in the February/March cycle of each year, which means probably about second week of March 2000. We've experimented with other publishing periods, but most elite programs run into February each year when new programs are announced and we don't want to miss out on including this most valuable information in each issue.

Having said that, I'll give you a heads up. We're currently working on a plan to bring the Guidebook to the 'net where we can add some interactive features and also always keep it updated behind the scenes, something that's difficult with the printed book. So look forward to that as a new edition. Also, the net edition will allow us to include all the global programs we track. As you might guess, there's a certain limit with the current Guidebook that we've reached where the page count (currently 650 pages) prevents us from adding too many more programs, though we do have the information.

You could do a two volume set: one just for airlines and the other for all the other programs (like the car rental programs too.)

But good luck with the new edition. Hopefully it will come out with a double or triple Clickrewards bonus offer!
