This is from Randy in another thread:

Actually, 2 1/2 weeks ago I asked Tim and Mikel on this side to look into restoring some sort of smaller mask for new members posting to OMNI. Just researching some options I may decide to use. That request was prompted by me learning that in the day and age of modern social media, IB may be implementing the FacebookConnect program which many other Websites like FT use, which seems to allow members to use parallel log-in information to go between the two popular places. Since I'm not all that familiar as to what this might mean for populating posts and such and of course if it may lead to Facebook friends of members finding low-level topics in OMNI first, I at least wanted to make sure if I felt there was a problem or could be one that I was prepared with a plan. I'm not big on newbies making it big on OMNI first and we continue to guard that since like you mention, FT is "which was & is travel," and no one respects that more than I.
While most of this pertains to the never ending OMNI debate, hopefully it helps!

Hardly. I only recently found out it along with some others and likely after others as well. I wasn't asked for any input and likely would not have given any if asked -- I'm not an expert about Facebook and this program, whatever it is. I'm working on a new Ambassadors program so that members can expect an even better experience as newbies or as our resident experts.

It seems to be based in technology and Internet Brands clearly has that responsibility.
