Expedia Name Correction Chaos

Hey all. My situation is rather moronic (on my part). My family and I booked a trip to the Philippines back in April.

We go from Seattle to Seoul with Delta, then Seoul to Manila with Asiana. We also booked through Expedia. The thing is, my mother's ticket was accidentally booked in her maiden name rather than her married name. As we know, the ticket must match her passport in which is issued in her married name. I called Expedia customer support the same day we realized (about a few days later), to which they said that since our trip is at the end of July, its low priority to look into at the moment since it was so early and to call back later. I call back at the end of May. Same thing, trip is at end of July call back later and there should be no fees or issues with name correction. I call last week and they finally look into it, only to tell me that they cant do a name correction because we're flying with two different companies that have different policies with no exception. I have spoken with multiple Expedia agents throughout the week going back and forth to seek any possible alternatives to no avail. They recommend that we purchase new tickets and they cannot offer a refund. My mother plans on bringing her birth certificate, a notarized document validating her identity, marriage certificate, old passport/id, along with her present passport/id. Yes, I understand the severity of the mistake and I talked to an agent at Delta saying we should be okay and to present the documents at check-in to verify and authorize the flyer, but a name change is not particularly guaranteed. Asiana said we CAN bring documents, but it is not guaranteed either to which we can potentially be unable to fly. They recommend to purchase new tickets which is insane for a name correction. I am new here my apologies if this is the wrong thread. I have been stressing out over this for some time now. I posted the same issue on reddit to which a couple international flyers said I should be fine. I want to be sure. What should I do? Someone said to have Deltra reissue the ticket and then do the same at the transfer counter once we get to Seoul. I dont mind reissuing fees, but paying for a new ticket especially with how expensive it is is just crazy! Please let me know. Thank you!
