Seperate bookings of two rooms cheaper
Hi all,
so, I stumbled upon an unexpected booking experience. I was booking rooms for a total of 3 adults, split into 2 rooms (2+1 persons). One queen bed room, one twin bed room. In Japan and via OTA. When I made two seperate bookings for the two rooms, rates were generally lower. In total, I saved around 8-9% by booking rooms seperately. I guess this is because I was able to clear specify that one room was for one person only (even though even in my unified bookings rate for the room with one occupant were a bit lower). Is that something you're familiar with? |
