Could anyone point me to a resource whereby i can create an iron showing flights and hotels, or even just flights without first purchasing the ticket? The purpose is to provide a means for advance travel expenses. Much obliged for any suggestions!

Normally an airline itinerary = reservation (also sometimes called PNR) doesn't show prices. If you want to document the price, do a dummy booking on the airline website. However, prices and availability change frequently, so even if you still qualify for the fare, your actual ticket that's purchased could cost significantly more.
