Anyone use Hopper? Are their fare trackers accurate?

I was planning to book my Nov trip from SJC-OGG this weekend. I checked the Hopper app and it suggests I could save almost $400 by waiting to book my preferred itinerary on Hawaiian.

It would be great to save $400. But how accurate are Hopper's future fare estimates? Is it worth waiting to see if the fares actually go down? Is there a decent price drop guarantee booking service I should book through instead of directly through the airline? I know Alaska still has its price drop guarantee good for fares booked in August. But they're already quite a bit more expensive than Hawaiian for basically the same trip.

Thanks for any advice!

Would love to see what others have to say on Hopper. I have the app on my phone, and have set several trackers for trips - but it never did work well for me. Flights prices that came up or tracked were not the cheapest. Skyscanner continues to be a winner, at least for me.

I keep monitoring it and for my flights it says wait. But so far the prices are just going up up and away. Unless they drop significantly Hopper has been an #epicfail

It's fairly accurate from my experience but there's no guarantee. If it were me I'd wait.

I found that Hopper was very accurate in the past. I was an avid user of the app for the past few years. However, for my last 2 trips, the app was inaccurate with the fare tracking (roundtrip NYC to FLL and roundtrip NYC to PUJ). The app would tell me to wait as prices were climbing, but prices never went back down! I'm not sure what has happened with the app, but I have found it to be very unreliable for the past few months. It wound up costing me more money to book both flights because I was listening to the app.

Now I use Google Flights in conjunction with Hopper, with more weight given to Google Flights.
