Issues with British Airways Non Refundable Ticket, help
WE got two tickets ( $ 1650 each) issued in Sept from LAX for BA to fly in Dec. Due to Serious Family Medical emergency, one passenger had to fly overnight to India. We called the agent, they informed us that BA will not allow Passenger to fly before 7 days and change fee will be $ 275. So we had to buy another ticket for next day flight in another airline for only $ 1025!!! Now agent is informing us that we need to give date before Dec departure date and pay CLASS Difference. Apparently at the moment, for summer 2014, BA doesnot have R class seats.Refusing to give Travel Voucher also."They are not able to give any written rules and regulations", just verbal feedback. Any idea what action to take ? This is strongarm tactics by BA and Agents. BA refuses to discuss saying ticket is issued by Agent,so call them. That is ridiculous. We have a Contract with them, they issued ticket.whom do we contact to file complaint, need to end such blocking tactics.

More information would help.
If you purchased a ticket through a TA (travel agent, or online travel agent) then you need to go through your TA to change/cancel the ticket, not BA.
What is the route?
What is the original ticket routing, date and class?
Have you flown the outbound or not?
If you have not flown the outbound, a date change may require the ticket to be re-priced. You would also need the appropriate fare availability, and meet the minimum purchase requirements (depending on the fare conditions this may be 7 days or 30 days).
