That said, I believe it's very healthy that the market forces operate like this. It would not be in anyone's interest for the product to become so unprofitable that it were to be withdrawn.

There have been reports that some booking agents are applying it to the "continent of origin" rather than the "country of origin".
I was told that my planned AKL-xLAX-...-NRT-SYD-MEL-AKL was invalid, but AKL-xLAX-...-NRT-xSYD-MEL-AKL was Ok.

New version of the Rule Sheet - dated 1-Nov-2010
Only two changes
as reported by Bukhara in another thread:
Also, the Surcharges for premium economy have changed
- presumably they have gone up, but I don't have a record of what they used to be to confirm that
Only two changes
as reported by Bukhara in another thread:
Whilst Oneworld4u may not have been paying much attention to this forum, rest assured that other areas of Oneworld have not been so negligent!
The wording in the Flight Application has now been changed to prevent crafty folk from including surface sectors and escaping the extra continent charge for travel between Europe/M.East - SW Pacific.
TRAVEL BETWEEN SWP AND EUROPE/MIDDLE EAST ON A
SINGLE FLIGHT NUMBER/ OR BY SURFACE IS CONSIDERED TRAVELLING
SWP-ASIA-EUROPE THROUGH THREE CONTINENTS.

01-Apr-2011 - New Version of the Rules Issued
Changes are no longer being highlighted it seems
The only change I can spot is that Tanzania has been removed from the list of African countries from/to which a second European entry is allowed
(rule 4(e)(3))
Not unexpected really - not after BA's Commair started flying JNB-DAR
But still

Generally wouldn't want to originate in US anyway, so those six segments can still be useful.

Or are the fares being removed from the website - a big backward step in my book.
Anyone got a Premium E/F membership to check a few fares
Copied these from my previous version as representative of major countries and some of the common starting locations.
