LHR-SIN Which aircraft to choose

Traveling LHR-SIN in business. Have choice of QF and BA 744 or BA 777.

Which has best seat for sleeping and privacy. Don't care about entertainment, etc.

Thanks,

Thanks,

BA business class has fully flat beds whilst Qantas has slopy beds so in that respect BA wins

The biggest difference between the 2 , imo, is the scheduling. QF departs at lunchtime whilst BA departs in the evening.

imho, BA's 747 is vastly preferable to BA's 777 if you can arrange to be seated on the upper deck. The 777 has both the aura and reality of being a dormitory, while the 747 upstairs has a much, much greater sense of calm and privacy.

Sorry - Didn't mention date - Friday 29 May. I believe QF 10 operates then!

Change anything?

For me it wouldnt, I'd still take the luchtime QF32 :)

Against the evening schedule, I would take BA with its proper flat beds in preference to QF slopey beds

I agree with Dave - QF over BA usually (I rarely sleep on flights), but if you want the bed, choose BA.

One thing which speaks against BA is that the bed is relatively short. So if you are taller than 170cm than QF might still be the better option if you don't mind the incline.

I am 6'2" and the 6' beds on BA work nicely for me. The slope on QF makes QF much worse imo

I get a better sleep in QF skybed than in BA flat bed (which rattles and moves when your seatmate moves).

Me too. I actually prefer sleeping in slightly non-flat position in the plane and the BA's bed feels just too narrow and on the aisle seat lacks any support for not falling to the aisle (it doesn't happen but feels like it could..).

I used to be a BA-fan but today I'd choose QF skybed over BA at any time. The A380 would be the preferred choice, of course.

Is it possible to take QF 32 when the aircraft is the A380? Great flight..

FTers preferring a sloping bed over a flat bed... amazing.

That said the QF sloping SkyBed is the best sloping bed in the business for me.
Am yet to try Mk II
