Circle Pacific Routing ex NZ

I am pretty confident the below ruling negates my proposed A Circle Pacific fare, but just want to check with the experts. Really would like to take advantage of the cheaper pricing in NZ vs Australia.

C. Only one Intercontinental departure and one intercontinental arrival permitted in each continent.
Continents are defined as Asia, North America, South America, Southwest Pacific.

Perhaps I'm missing something but you only have 1 intercontinental departure and 1 intercontinental arrival in each continent, so I don't see why it doesn't work.

It is the grouping of Australia and NZ under the South West Pacific banner which throws it.

I am departing NZ for Australia, then departing Australia for HKG, and arriving back in Australia from the USA before departing for NZ to complete the circle.

Sorry, I guess I'm dense this morning. Australia and New Zealand are in the same continent (SWP). You depart from that continent once (MEL-HKG) and arrive in that continent once (LAX-MEL), thus meeting the "Only one Intercontinental departure and one intercontinental arrival permitted in each continent" rule. What's the problem I'm not seeing?

I assume the rule is intended to stop you back-tracking continents, e.g., you have to go SWP-Asia-NA-SWP and you can't go SWP-Asia-SWP-NA-SWP (as that would be 2 intercontinental arrivals in SWP).

I believe under the Circle Pacific, OZ and NZ are considered to be one continent, so you still only have one intercontinental departure and arrival into SWP.

I don't see a problem here. Australia & NZ are treated as south-west pacific for this fare.
