Changes and Fees
 

I know it is in the fare rules, but I want to confirm whether Oneworld Carrier changes attract the 125USD fee with AA ticketed the DONE4? Has anyone with experience with this?

I assume this will require a reissue HOWEVER it will be a FREE reissue as it is system limitation on AA (as with EVERYTHING in AA issued tickets, except for maybe AA flights - However still not 100% sure on this and no one in AA can confirm this - incl the RTW DESK!)


OK - the other change I want to confirm is DATE changes BEFORE departure of the first sector on the DONE4. If i am in TC3 (Asia issued) than I assume according to the fare rules there should be no charge. AGAIN, what is the deal with AA issued tickets?

Date changes should not be an issue - I have done it on my LONE4 and while AA reissues (new ticket #) there were no charges associated with the change. Just use the AA RTW desk and provide a day or so notice......


I will eventually find out (perhaps the hard way) if the changes from L to T class on the LONE4 is in the same category. The TA said pay, the AA RTW desk said free...... that is the US$125 over an above the class upgrade surcharge.

"(a) Date/time/oneworld carrier/inventory changes are permitted provided ticketed points remain the
same."
