When did the WTP surcharge increase from $300 to $700?
 
Hi,

Does anyone here happen to know when the WTP surcharge for non Kangaroo sectors increased from US$300 to US$700?

I know the change took place sometime during 2008 (perhaps at the same time at the 16-sector limit came into effect), but I can't remember exactly.

Reason I ask is I'm thinking of upgrading a sector, and based on the date I purchased my ticket, with luck, I may only be liable for the lesser surcharge.

I booked a CW TATL award in the award sale, and the taxes/fees combined were a shade under $700/pax, so I don't see how the surcharge for WT+ could be $700.

I think he's referring to the cost of upgrading an L segment on a LONEx.

It was still USD300 per sector (450 for kangaroo route) on 4 March 2008.

It was $700 on 16 July 2008.

The change to 16 coupons maximum was 1 June 2008.
