OK, be careful with this. I'm in the same boat with my currently open AONE3, purchased during the sale at YYZ, priced ex-ICN. You need to be careful that nothing you do invokes a reissue

Shouldn't be a problem as all my stops are fairly major cities. I went with SIN over CMB enroute to Maldives for just that reason. The only remote possibility could be that summer DFW-ANC on AA is dropped.

Just don't expect to get it done in five minutes. When I did this, I stood at the BOS ticket counter for more than two hours. I suspected that trying to get this done on the way to a flight wouldn't work, so I made a separate trip to the airport. I live close enough that it wasn't a problem.

Good luck. If you have the time, it would be interesting if you can report back to FT on how it went for you.

I will be happy to report back, however it won't be until early February 2010 after I book the final Dec 2010 segment.

What does the term "Open Segments" used above refer to: Open Dated Segments or Surface Segments?

I meant "open dated" as well. The coupons (printed not hand written in my case) actually say "OPEN" on them where you would otherwise flight timing.

On the city ticketing (LON-PAR etc) it certainly worked as described by thadocta a couple of years ago, but I haven't had need to try it since then (and clearly it only works with open-dated coupons).
