FWIW, back on Wednesday the QF F check-in agent said that I was not allowed allowed access to the Concorde Room.

I specifically asked about pre-flight dinner at the reception for the BA Terraces and F Lounge and was told that was only for those flying BA.

Thanks! I knew I was missing something. So then the F/L has indeed the better food options as the F Terrace is nothing to write home about. It actually is not even a nice lounge.
