RJ DONE booking class
Know the answer should be obvious from the thread title, but I can't seem to figure this out.
Trying to reserve DXB-AMM as part of a ticketed DONE5 next April 17th. Availability on the route looks fairly slim, but we thought we had a winner on this day. EF shows J9 C9 D9 on RJ 613. However, the AA RTW desk can't see any availability. Before they could find one seat, but not two together. What's going on? Does EF not work for Royal Jordanian? |
EF shows J9 C9 D0 for both RJ613 and RJ611.
RJ613 is D9 on 4/18, 4/19 and 4/20. Stay an extra day .... |
Something's amiss. Literally when I checked earlier this evening and last week, RJ613 was D9 - thats the reason I chose 4/17. Also confirmed this on the RJ site (flight was bookable in D).
Still comes up as such if I try to book on RJ.com (in fact for either flight): Fare restrictions From: Dubai Operator: Royal Jordanian Fare code: DLEEAE Please refer to Royal Jordanian rules for fare code DLEEAE between Amman - Queen Alia International and Dubai |
This looks like the usual POS issue. KVS Sabre/ITN (using UK POS) shows:
[KVS Availability Tool 3.2.0/Platinum - Sabre: ITN/UK-ASB] Code:
DXB Dubai AE [OMDB][KVS Availability Tool 3.2.0/Platinum - WSpan: ITN/US-TAP] Code:
DXB Dubai AE [OMDB]The following day, with a US POS, we get D9, but only D1 for UK POS. Bizarre, certainly, but Revenue Management is clearly a very dark art. :D |
Thanks for this - very informative!
Tried RJ and turns out I don't have a confirmed reservation in Y or J despite my AA record. Back to the RTW desk... |
