Which oneworld program is the best?
 

I know it's kind of rhetorical question, because it depends on someone's needs which program is the best, but my priorities are:
- miles valid more than 3 years (would be the best if they never expire)
- lot of miles from kind of competitions, newsletters, surveys, etc.
- at least 50% miles from BA World Traveller class.

The thing is, I usually fly *A, will fly oneworld very random but after few years want to redeem miles for some flight.

I think about CX Asia Miles program....are there any better options?

In terms of redemption in business/first class American wins hands down but they only give a 10% bonus on World TP.

As an example LHR to SYD return is
128 - ec/256 - biz/384 - first with qantas
90-120-160 with american
100-200-300 with ba
140-230-360 kms (roughly 87.5-144-225 in miles) with lan &
110-175-260 with cathay

The differences are huge. 100,000 for first class return from LHR to South Africa is another bargain with American.

My vote would also be with AA if you are after cheap award flights. They also tend to give decent miles on cheap economy tickets. HOWEVER, you will not get any miles for BA flights between the UK and the US (Canada is fine).

AsiaMiles expire after 3 years so fail your primary criterion.

I would also say go with AA (which expire with 18 months of no activity but can be kept alive for ever at very little cost).

The best way to get miles would be with an AA-affiliated credit card if you are able to get hold of one of those.

Like BA itself, AA only credits 25% of miles for most BA discount Y categories (World Traveller, Euro Traveller.)

I don't think there's a natural fit with your needs; however AA probably is the best overall solution given its earn/burn ratios.

While BA and AA don't let you earn on each other for trans-Atlantic routes, there is one HUGE benefit to BA Executive Club, although it may not be what you are looking for. BA allows you to pool up to 6 other family members (FF account must have same mailing address) and claim reward based on the sum of those accounts. So, family of 5 makes a trip to Grandma getting 5K miles each, you can claim one free reward ticket based on the 'Household Account' total points.

Yeah, but that family of 5 has to travel on the most expensive Y fares (flexible) or any of the premium fares to qualify for 100% mileage. Otherwise, a mere 25% of mileage for other Y travelers. BA is certainly not the program for Y passengers.

I dont agree as AA make it so easy to be elite and have a very low yield in actual fare paying passengers in premium cabins makes it one of the worst to get upgrades when youn want them, plus flying CX and AA is no comparison
