Ticketing *ONE's in Seoul with AA

I just ticketed a DONE4 for my parents leaving from ICN in October, with the AA GSA in Seoul.

I was really quite an effiencent process. The only bug is that tickets need to paid for at the office in person, not over the phone.

The GSA is also the BA GSA, and the front desk has one BA agent, and 2 AA agents in airline uniform sitting next to each other. Trying to get though to the the office on the local phone number for AA is a pain- over 2 hours with numberous attmepts, but in person they were very quick and friendly.

The pricing was very good as well. The base DONE4 fare was 5690700KRW, which is about US$5430. The routing was not mileage optimised, though it does have 16 sectors. The taxes were just on $490. I will happily use this GSA in future (as long as Korea has such good pricing).

Thanks for this tip. I didn't even know Korea was a cheap starting point for DONExs.

The AA GSA in Seoul is very efficient and friendly. I've had a couple of good experiences there. They also give me gifts, for some reason. Once I got a business card holder (which says AA in the back) which I still use.

I got the gift as well- three passport/travel cases, embossed with the AA logo. There was one for my parents, and one for me. The only issue I had was that they couldn't seem to get my AMEX to work in the machine, though they told me they do take it. I just used my Mastercard instead.

Have I missed something, but I cannot see Korea listed in the OW web site for a xONEx price.

For any nonKorean speaking folks in Seoul(like me), the ticket office is right next to the Korean Air building, at City Hall subway station exit 10. Had trouble finding the location on any sort of map, so figure that might help.

Or a tendency to forget about the North.
