New DONE4 - few questions
Currently thinking something like this:
ICN-HEL-LHR-MCT-AMM-DME-ORD,HNL-ORD-LAX-JFK-MIA-DFW-JFK-SYD-PER-ADL-SYD-NRT-HKG-ICN Based out of SYD and crediting to QF - planning to ticket prior to 1 June obviously. Looking at flying ICN-ORD in July, back to SYD then the remainder around Xmas - basically need a trip to London, want to see Moscow, SCs needed to retain Plat by Jul-31 and lock it in easily the following year again. 1. Backtracking question Mileagemonkey fails this on DME-ORD claiming the flight doesn't exist but AA159 tells me otherwise - however thinking the HNL-ORD segment will be caught by backtracking rule. (Alternate would be to do DME-ORD-HNL,LAX-JFK -- would this pass because the backtrack is not a flown segment??) 2. Flight availability to ANC Also thinking of tagging a quick DFW-ANC-DFW turnaround in during end-July before coming back to Aus but A class availability (indeed general availability appears very light according to expertflyer) -- is this likely to change or are these flights truly full. |
You can't double back from HNL to the mainland regardless if it's by plane, kayak, space shuttle or reed raft.
Don't worry; DME-ORD is a valid route. The ANC flights are usually full. Look for midweek days for availability. Boat people coming off/going to cruises is the explanation. It's a miserable trip in Y by the way. |
