Lounge Access: Casablanca
 

I will be flying through Casablanca on Iberia next month with a companion. Has anyone had any experience in either of the oneworld lounges listed there?

I know that third party lounges are not guaranteed open to OW members so I'm curious who's gotten in. I'll be on Iberia, in economy, as a OW Sapphire.

Since you are flying from CMN on IB you should have access to the AT-LeCasablanca Lounge.

But the OP is flying economy so the question is about access based on status only, something not always granted by 3rd party lounges. (I don't know the answer)

It should be the same lounge. If IB runs the check-in at CMN it would be automatic. If not the contracted check-in staff should have a reference chart of who to give lounge access to, which should include OW elites.

Follow up
 

So just as a follow up, I asked the ticket agent about lounge access and they said they didn't know anything but I could ask at the Iberia sales desk. Those folks then told me to simply go to the Royal Air Maroc Lounge, airside, on the 2nd floor roughly above Gate 6. It is a strange airport configuration: you pass through Passport Control to 'exit' Morocco but you don't go through Security screening until you enter your specific gate. Each gate in this terminal appears to have its own small security set-up.

Anyway, so we went up to the Royal Air Maroc lounge, showed the PLT card and boarding passes and were welcomed. It is just one large room really, with a self-service area providing sweet snacks and a standard assortment of drinks. They had one of those Nespresso coffee machines which I was curious to try and it was actually really good. They had 4 coffee choices. There were 3 internet terminals, though only 1 functioning, and apparently there was WIFI though I didn't have my laptop. Absolutely nothing special but there are worse ways to spend an hour or so in this airport.

Yes the security is strange but I thought you were x-rayed before you got into the airport, well from the train definitely.

You're right, coming off the train there was a mandatory albeit very loose security/x-ray checkpoint. I went through without taking off my heavy coat or emptying my pockets and was not stopped. It was about as secure as security going into a rock concert or sporting event. The check at the gate itself was more in line with what we see in Europe or the US, but still perhaps not as thorough.

I hope you didn't log on to any site with password and private info, these terminals are a cesspool of viruses and keyloggers. The two sites I accessed while waiting for my flight were broken into under my ID within hours. they were just airline and booking sites, but had they been bank accounts....

I find it extremely unpleasant to read "Welcome back, you last logged on 50 minutes ago" when I have been flying for 9 hours... :(

By 'these terminals' do you mean the ones in the Casablanca lounge or is it a warning about airport lounges in general?
