Air Lingus Connection in Dublin -- 70min?
Booked an award ticket for my wife and I on Air Lingus next May from BOS-DUB-FCO with only a 70 minute connection in DUB. Several phone reps at AA swore to me this is enough time to connect in Dublin. Anyone have experience with this?
Also, have never flown Lingus. Are they terrible? Couldn't get other routing with BA... Thanks |
Just less than a year ago, while travelling on a through-ticketed EI itinerary, I missconnected in DUB, due to a late arriving EI-operated flight.
The ticket desk where I was sent to be reaccommodated told me that "Aer Lingus is a point-to-point low-cost carrier, and they do not guarantee connection". I insisted that my flights were through ticketed, and that they had an obligation to protect me. Anyway, it took three hours of negotiations to get rebooked, and despite a promise from the DUB duty manager, I still haven't received the reimbursement of my overnight hotel expenses. I'll be following it up with the EU in a month or so, when I'll have a bit more time. Wish I had more cheery experience to share... but frankly, EI isn't so cheery. If your flight is ontime, though, 70 minutes should be sufficient for the connection. |
thanks
thanks for the response. certainly not encouraging, but i don't have many choices...
