For a biz class RTW crediting to AA I'm still trying to find a definitive answer on how many EQP/RDMs are earned on various OW airlines.

The "Mileage Accrual Percentage" is throwing me off. Is this relating to miles for EQM/EQP purposes or for RDMs?

For example a Business Class flight on QF credited to AA would earn exactly how many EQPs and how many RDMs for a Plat/EXP? And the same for 'L' class that an economy RTW would use?

I'm trying to decide if a DONE or a LONE makes more sense to me a from a mileage earned to cost perspective.

It's a bit early in the morning for me, and without my coffe fix, but here it goes: Ignoring minimums for a while the first column refers to RDM expressed as a percentage of flown miles (plus bonus if applicable). The second column refers to EQP expressed as a percentage based on the first column (without the bonus). A 1000 mile segment flown by a PLT/EXP on QF D would earn 1500 (1000 + 500) EQP and 2250 (1000 + 250 + 1000) redeemable miles. If on L the earning would be 500 EQP and 1000 (500+500) RDM.

Ok, that makes sense. Not sure how I was supposed to infer that from the chart though...it is very confusing.

Viajero is correct as usual.
The first shows how many miles you were earn based upon miles actually miles flown and the second the points you will earn. For fare classes:
A,F, and P, you will earn 150% of the miles flown and 1.5 points per mile flown, a 1000 mile flight will earn 1500 miles and 1500 points;
C, D, I, J will earn 125% and 1.5 points per mile flown, a 1000 mile flight will earn 1250 miles and 1500 points;
B, Y will earn 100% of miles flown and 1.5 points per mile flown, a 1000 mile flight will earn 1000 miles and 1500 points;
H, K, W will earn 100% of miles flown and 1 point per mile flown, a 1000 mile flight will earn 1000 miles and 1000 points;
M, V, L, R will earn 50% of miles flown and 1 point per mile flown, a 1000 mile flight will earn 500 miles and 1000 points;
G, O, S will earn 50% of miles flown and .5 points per mile flown, a 1000 mile flight will earn 500 miles and 500 points.

Ok so my only misunderstanding left is the PLT/EXP bonus for Biz and F classes.

What exactly do you mean by "the PLT/EXP bonus for Biz and F classes"? Edit: or, what part of this needs clarification?: "A 1000 mile segment flown by a PLT/EXP on QF D would earn ... 2250 (1000 + 250 + 1000) redeemable miles".

The Plat bonus (also for EXPs) is 100% of the eligible flight miles.

The 25% (business) or 50% (first) bonuses are called "class of service" (or "cabin") bonuses. Neither COS nor Plat/EXP bonus miles are EQM, although they do count in the long march toward 1M/Lifetime Gold or 2M/Lifetime Plat miles, as do miles earned through credit cards or eAAting at bAAd restaurants.

Note the rules get a bit muddled for short flights - for example with carriers for which AA grants a minimum 500 miles, the the J/D COS bonus is 25% of flight miles or 125, whichever is more. However, if AA awards a minimum of 500 points, the 1.5 point per mile rule is more strict. If the flight is 333 miles or less, you get 500 points. If it's 334 miles, you get 501 points, not 750.

Note too that some OW members do not grant the Gold/Plat/EXP bonuses, notably JL and MA if memory serves.

From strictly a miles standpoint, it makes a lot more sense to go with the DONE. Not only do you get the 25% class of service bonus, you will earn miles with all carriers. With an LONE, many of the carriers either reduce the mileage (ie, Qantas and BA) or you don't earn any miles at all (ie, Cathay Pacific).

However, from a cost per mile standpoint, that's something only you can decide. While you will earn a significantly higher number of miles and EQMs with a business class ticket, they are also significantly more expensive.
