First xONEx Trip -- Valid Routing?
 

I am planning my very first RTW trip, and I could use any help or corrections on the validity of the following routing, or other suggestions that generally follow my proposed schedule. I would be starting my travel in November.

AKL-PPT is not allowed; no codeshares on non-OW metal (route operated by Air Tahiti).

SHA-MEL must be via HKG, and no OW service (that I know of) PEK-PVG, so Asia flights must be recomputed.

Is there seasonal service MEL-ZQN? If not, recompute SW Pacific legs (as you'd need to anyway given no PPT.)

Thanks! I didn't get the codeshare rules correct, so I'll work on that and try again. (e.g. PEK-PVG is codeshare on Malev, but not on OW metal)

I appreciate your taking the time to review and clueing me in about how the codeshare rules work.

Okay, I've ridden myself of the non-OW code shares. It's now ex Australia, which is fine by me, just hoping my proposed routing is valid this time around?

Wouldn't IPC-SCL and BCN-CAI-BUD be considered backtracking?

Not on the oneworld explorer fare. IPC and SCL are both in South America and the other 3 are all in Europe/Middle East, so they are all ok, as backtracking within the same continent is allowed, with some exceptions not applicable to this case.

I think the route as amended is okay, provided the issuing carrier regards SVX as being in Europe and not Asia. IIRC there was some question about Ekaterinburg/Sverdlovsk (east of the Urals) being accessible as a "Europe" segment. And I just remembered that BMED (who operate the SVX service from London) have been acquired by BMI and by the time you fly there may be some issue with their eligibility for OWE tickets. *A recently clarified that it considered SVX as being in europe for the purposes of *A RTW.

Thanks for the help and feedback. This is my first RTW trip, but I'm really getting into it.

In order to have a plan in case SVX service to LHR on OW no longer exists by the time I take my trip, I came up with another version. I think I like it better, but wonder if it's allowable. Particularly, I'm wondering if I got the 2x intercontinental arrival into Europe rule correct on the transit through LHR between Tanzania and Hong Kong.

In Moscow, I would fly into one airport and out the other, thus the SVO/DME. Is that allowable under the xONEx fare rules?
