Circle Pacific...is this valid
 

Please excuse the very simple question, but does this look valid?--I don't know anything about the Circle Pacific fare and I am asking this for a friend

DFW-LAX
LAX-HKG
HKG-SYD
SYD-PPT
PPT-LAX
LAX-DFW

Can he use AA miles for it also?
Any suggestions?

No, the Global Explorer fare allows using additional (non-OW) airlines but the circle pacific fare does not -- you must fly only OW carriers (on OW metal). So PPT is out. The GE fare requires going RTW, and not circling the pacific. There is no OW fare product for this routing.
