Lounge Access

Hi,

A quick question regardig Lounge Access. Am Oneworld Sapphire. I will be flying DUR-JNB on BA (operated by its franchisee, Comair), and then on a separate itin, JNB-LGW on Nationwide. Will have 4 hour layover in JNB. Can I use the BA lounge at JNB while waiting for Nationwide flight? I would think not, as my next onward segment is not on a oneworld member airline (see below). I know that I can use it in DUR, but I had always thought that an eligible flight provides with all day access to a lounge.

Oneworld lounge access is as follows (from the Oneworld website):

Eligibility

In all cases, lounge access eligibility is based on:

Departing carrier - you must be flying on your next onward segment, on the same day, on a flight marketed and operated by a oneworld member airline AND
Frequent flyer tier status - you must also hold a frequent flyer card equivalent to oneworld Emerald or Sapphire status

In my experience, no, as Nationwide isn't a Oneworld member.
