xONE4 questions

I've tried Search but have problems with it, so sorry if these have already been asked.

If I take CX712 SIN-HKG which goes via BKK will I get miles and QF Status Credits as if it were individual flights (SIN-BKK and BKK-HKG) or as if the flight was direct SIN-HKG?

Also, I know there are some special rules for ANC. Can I fly, say, LAX-ANC-LAX?

Direct SIN-HKG.

No, because there are no oneworld flights LAX-ANC. The only way to visit ANC is from ORD or DFW. in summer.

Thanks for the information. I only asked the question because the new and improved route map on oneworld.com shows flights from LAX to ANC, but further research shows that the flights are actually a codeshare via SJC with Alaska Airlines.

That map resulted in a similar situation with a friend of mine that is planning DONE5. He was including flights to/from NAD and PPT in his itineraries. While codeshare flights to NAD and PPT may be included on a Global Explorer itin, they may not on a ONE or CIR itin. At least showing these flights on the OW map made sense from that perspective.

However, codeshares on Alaska airlines may not be included in any OW package to the best of my knowledge; but... it is a partner airline with AA, QF, BA and LA OW members. After looking at the flights to/from Brussels it becomes apparent that this map shows where OW members and their respective partners fly. SN Brussels are partners with AA, BA, IB and AY OW members.

So while this OW interactive map is really kewl to see where OW members and their partners fly, it comes up lacking with regard to planning travel on the OW products. It would be nice if they provided a filter/option to only show ONE, CIR, or GE eligible flights, but I guess that is asking a bit much.
