GRU-EZE - valid OWE segment?

I'm planning a South American travel itinerary based around the SAM portion of a OWE RTW ticket I'm planning to purchase. My travel agent has informed me that GRU-EZE is not a valid segment. Can anyone help me clear this up please? I know BA fly this route.

Once again FT beats any TA ^ :)

Having included that very segment on a previous RTW ticket, I can support the others that say that the GRU-EZE route on BA is indeed allowed. ^

It's also a great way to satisfy the 2 OW partner rule when using AA miles for a OW award for flying around South America.

followup

since you guys were so quick with that one, how about a followup question:

how about GIG-GRU ??

I am currently on a LONE4 itinerary. When I planned the trip the GIG-GRU segment showed up in OneWorld's tools as a valid segment via LAN Chile. When I went to book the flight, however, they told me that the LAN Chile flight is only seasonal or something and I would have to do it as a ground segment. Is that right? Can anyone shed more light on this? Will that LAN GIG-GRU segment be available in November?

Nope, not that one, and it is not seasonal, it is just not valid.

No, but an economy ticket between GRU and GIG is pretty reasonable. Set up your trip with an open space GIG-GRU then book a separate ticket for the jump over. I did as otherwise I would have had to make a very long and cumbersome set of flights to travel the short distance on award points only.
