ITN refused? Ist , (Germany)
Hi frequent flyers ,
I have received a non return email from Germany in regards to my ITN from Ist. IST-LHR-MEL,SYD-PER-ADL-AKL-ADL,SYD-NRT-HKG-JFK-SCL-GRU-JFK-BGI-JFK-MIA-POS-MIA-LAX-LHR-IST. My point is the above ITN, is Validated by the (Bytestacker,) but Germany is saying I cannot backtrack into Asia from Australia , but I know according to OW rules I can as I am on transfer between Europe and SWP, without stopover in Asia. If I am wrong can someone point it out to me, if not ? what can I do when people do not know the rules? , which I am aware could be me? Thanks always in advance ELO |
Assuming your first visit to JFK is just a transit then it looks okay to me, the rules clearly state that you can enter Asia twice as long as one of those entries is a transit without stopover between SWP and Europe (or vice versa).

BA is not very motivated to help you ticket this as LHR-MEL is on QF (BA stopped serving MEL recently). You might find BA to be much more helpful if you change your routing to LHR-SYD on BA. In any case, your routing is valid and within the rules. You can quote the 2nd entry to Asia for transit between Europe and Australia. The rule is prety clear but different from other RTW product rules, which adds to the confusion. The rules are available on the web (see the sticky) or in BA's computer system.

Pure speculation.
Or are they trying to say (now) that the allowed Europe-SWP through transit must be the second time though Asia and not the first. This would mean the elimination of a northern Pacific route to North America when the SWP is visited. Something I suspect QF (and perhaps its JSA partner BA) would much like and CX (and JL) would not. Happy wandering Fred |

Hi Number 6 , Thank you for your advise, I sometimes wonder whether somebody from the FF program , could do some consulting with OW, to help them to understand their own rules ? ELO |
