How many tier points will you get in total ? How long will it all take ?

Now just got to pluck up the courage to call back and actually spend four and a half grand  ....

I just called AA RTW and got all the ex-IST prices from them:
Code:

    3    4    5    6
AONE 6649 7649 8899 10199
DONE 4699 5299 5999  6899

Did you submit that itinerary for pricing before April 15? That price you were quoted including taxes (about €6280) is much lower than the current AONE3 fare before taxes.

I think it's around 1300 TPs. It can take as long or as little as one wants really. In reality, you couldn't do the whole itinerary in less than a fortnight. I believe the last flight can be no longer than 1 year after the first flight.

No, I called BA on Monday April 17th (definitely that day as it was Bank Holiday here in the UK).

Such things interest me (no life) so I ran a quick calc - below.
Code:

                Mi          TP        Notes
IST        LHR        1,565        40
LHR        SFO        5,367        180
SFO        ORD        1,846        60
ORD        LAX        1,745        60
LAX        LAS        236        20        Y svc only
LAS        LAX        236        20        Y svc only
LAX        YYZ        2,175        120        no F
YYZ        JFK        366        20        Y svc only
JFK        HKG        8,072        180
HKG        SIN        1,588        60
SIN        HKG        1,588        60
HKG        NRT        1,842        60
NRT        HKG        1,842        60
HKG        LHR        5,994        180
LHR        DXB        3,420        180
DXB        LHR        3,420        180
LHR        IST        1,565        40
                Total        1520

If you switched to YYZ-LGA you can ride up front (J on Canada-US flights, not F) on two flights a day (others are Y only RJs.) LAX-LAS is all Y (Eagle) now. There are certainly ways to squeeze a lot more miles and TPs out of your N. America segments IMO.

Boy, I would sure send off that credit card no. right now to avoid them re-pricing.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is an AONE3? Not in the glossary.

Check out the first questions in this thread. Basically the "A" means First Class, the "ONE" means oneWorld explorer ticket, and the "3" means 3 continents. So, for example, you could have a DONE5 which would be a 5 continent oneWorld explorer in Business.
