SIN to Dubai... any creative ways so I can go on Oneworld?

Going on a business trip-- one leg is SIN to Dubai. Can't seem to find a good way to get there using one of the OneWorld, at least direct. Any of you have some ideas... would love to earn miles on this long route.

Thanks

Depending on class of service, what type of ticket you are trying to use and which scheme you are trying to earn miles in then the quickest possibility appears to be:

QF3867 SIN-BAH which goes at 05:25 MWFSa arr BAH 08:25; then QF 3871 dep 10:25 arr DXB 12:35. Both are operated by Gulf Air. Total travel time 11hr 10min.

On OneWorld metal it's:

CX712 dep SIN 13:30 arr BKK 14:55 (2 class w/ regional business)
CX751 dep BKK 17:00 arr DXB 22:00 on SWTS (direct but stops in BOM; also only 2 class with regional business class)
Total travel time 12:30.

Personally, I would recommend forfeiting the miles on this sector because both OW options are likely to be very expensive.

If you must get miles, Turkish Airlines offers a SIN-DXB fare of 590USD + tax and they are partners with American Airlines. The fare books into S class which earns 100% of flown miles.

I will try and get routing details

Cheers

Your best and cheapest bet is probably to fly:

SIN-BKK on CX, and then connect onto another CX flight from BKK-DXB via BOM I think. It's not daily so you'd have to check what your best options are.

i'd avoid the regional business and we all know that BOM flights are packed full... so take CX SIN - HKG (on the 747 if still running) and then direct HKG-DXB on the long haul config.. ah the old memories..
