Ex-Slovenia ?

Your advice / comments are welcome on this :-

It looks like the ex-Slovenia AONEx and DONEx fares are some of the best out there in the Oneworld world :p

Can anyone tell me who flys there of the OW partners, and how I might go about booking a trip from there ?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

See, e.g., the last page in this thread:

and page 2 of this thread:

Basically, the answer is that no oneworld carrier currently flies to LJU so there is no way to start a ow rtw from there. As no one currently offers a fare from there the fare in the data has not been updated.

I don't believe any of the Oneworld carriers fly there so whilst fares may have been loaded, there is no possible way to use them.

The good news is that Malev do have a flight so perhaps we will be able to access Ljubljana as soon as they join.

As a reference, Ljubljana's airport website is listed below which shows you who flys in and out of the country. At the moment it really is *A and Scary team territory:

I guess I'll add a health warning to the next version of my spreadsheet regarding Slovenia...

Let's just hope that they keep forgetting when Malev joins, then we can all purchase our cheap AONEx and DONEx fares from there.

From all reports LJU is a lovely place to go so might be a great place to start.

Well, I was thinking for some time now if we could get a decent agency in Slovenia who might be interested in providing some crazy travellers with xonex tickets ;)

Because I am not sure they will last very long, so we should try and take advantage of it the moment it is safe to buy. ;)

nixande,

Would we not have to begin our journey from LJU on a OW carrier for the OW xONEx to be valid ?

Yes, hence the comments on Malev.
