With xONEx fares ex-CMB, does the ticket need to begin in CMB if it is issued there ? My Brother In Law travels to CMB a couple of times a year and was wondering whether he could collect a couple of DONE4's for my wife and I which would begin in a country other than Sri Lanka. Or is the pricing only applicable to the country where the journey begins and not just the country where it is ticketed ?

So then I could in effect ticket and pay for a DONE4 beginning in CMB whilst still in Australia ? I've been told in the past this is not possible.

Yes, it is possible. However, you would need to pay for DONE4 fare at Australian level. If your ticketing country and originating country are different, you will end up paying the higher of the two.

No you can send payment to CMB and have the tickets issued there. But you have to go there to collect them and start the RTW.

This is what I did last year; Flew MEL-SYD-SIN-CMB and picked up tickets from CX ticket office, then off to HKG. I did not even leave the Airport.

When I do my last segment (HKG-CMB) later this year, I may stay a day or two and have a look around.
