Europe - North America - South America
Hello,
We are planning a 4 month trip from mid-july to mid-november.
We would like to visit these countries (not alwasy completely) :
Mexico
Cuba
Peru / Bolivia (the highlights)
Brazilia (the south)
Argentina (the north)
Does the one world explorer ticket be suitable to fly from :
belgium (brussels) to north-america
north-america to south-america
south-america back to belgium (brussels)
Our plan is now to this:
Brussels - Mexico-City
Mecixo-City - Havana
Havana - Mexico-City
Mexico-City - La Paz (or Lima) ?? not sure
Santa-Cruz - Rio de Janeiro
Buenos Aires - Brussels
Many thanks for any advice,
Bert Van den Broeck

Hi Bert,
Welcome to Flyertalk!
For a One World Explorer fare you need to transit the pacific meaning you need to buy at least a 4 continent fare (Europe - SA - NA- Asia - Europe)
IIRC you can start cheaply travelling in Y if you start ex-UK. Another problem is that if you travel to Havana, your not allowed to use American Airlines for any portion of travel on your itinerary. Since you don't want to travel to the US you might be able to get away with this.. You can try something like LHR-MEX//CUN-HAV-SCL-LIM//LPB-SCL-GIG//GRU-EZE-JFK-HKG-LHR
Read the sticky at the top of the Oneworld forum for the rules on the Explorer fare, it'll help a lot!
