DONE3 - 10 Day min rule ?

Hi All, just wondering if any of the guru's here have come up with a way to circumvent the 10 day minimum rule for a DONE3.

Is it possible to book a 10 day itinerary, then change the dates/times once the travel has started ? In my case I'm trying to do YVR-LHR-FRA-LHR-SIN-PER-MEL-HKG-YVR, ideally in 6-7 days. Can you pay up from D -> J for the last leg or something ?

Advice ?

I doubt it. The last coupon will have the correct "Not valid before" date on it.

The only way to get round this would be to start the ticket by going to somewhere in North America but outside USA/Canada from which you could get a cheap separate roundtrip ticket and break the DONE3.

For example:

YVR-DFW-MEX//<use a cheap ticket MEX-YVR-MEX//MEX-LHR...

But since you will be in a hurry I can see that this might just take too long.
