OW Lounge(s) at LAX / Lima

Hi all-

First, I tried a search and I am having difficulty finding the relevant info....

I will soon embark on a LAX-LIM-LAX trip in Biz Class on LAN. I currently do not have any status on any OW carrier. Which lounge(s) am I entitled to visit @ LAX? Also, are there any available lounges in LIM?

Many thanks!

Patrick

I'm not sure about LAX but there is a lounge run by the airport in LIM that is supposedly very nice. I'll be flying JFK-LIM on November 12 in Lan F and I'll let you know what what the LIM lounge is like. If you leave before me, then report back on your findings. ^

LAX
You can use either the Admirals Club in T4 or Lan has a lounge at TBIT. The TBIT lounges are....well...not good. The AC is nice. The problem is that both lounges are airside. So unless you're coming into LAX on an AA flight, you will have to just head over to the TBIT. The Lan lounge is shared, small, limited food and drink.

Lima
I believe AA closed the Admirals Club (you can call and ask) but it was landside and fairly nice. At least compared to LIM. Lan uses a shared lounge airside and is alright. Decent size, including an outside area. Has some nibbles and booze. Also has a staffed bar where you can get a pisco sour if you like. Don't recall if there's a shower or not but I don't think so. In other words, there's better lounges...but there is certainly worse.

There are two showers at the lounge. They are right by the restrooms.

LAX - the good news about the LA lounge is that it isn't the worst lounge in the TBIT. Those honors go to Varig. The LA concierge in the lounge is usually pleasant to very nice. The food and drink selection is much better than a domestic lounge, but is not great. The ambiance is spartan but well, much better than the Varig lounge. I'll be back there in a few weeks.

LIM - Darren, is your lounge description on the post-airport -remodel situation? I didn't know if they changed/moved/closed/opened anything new, or if it is just the gate areas that have been improved. I haven't had the (mis)fortune of getting on/off a plane in LIM in quite some time, but will be in a few weeks.

The lounge is the QF business lounge which LAN F and C passengers get to use. It can be pretty full as there is a Air Tahiti Nui flight which leaves before the LAN. It is sometimes easier to walk to the opposite end of the terminal and use security there, rather than the machine near the LAN check-in's. The Lounge is at this end of TBIT anyway.

In my experience, it rotates between the QF biz lounge and the CX lounge. I have had both with little rhyme or reason.

EB, it was during. I forgot that they were doing the renovations so it might have changed.
