Is this possible
I have 200K AA miles to burn. I would like to go to SYD in DEC (yes I know good luck) DFW to SYD via HKG take CX to HKG then QF or CX to SYD. On the outbound BA to BKK or SIN then LHR then AA back to DFW from LHR. IF the seats are open would this be 180K OW award? Also how long can I stop in LHR or say BKK if I wanted?
Option # 2 If I cannot get a seat to SYD is : AA to LHR (how long can I hang out) next BA to BKK (would be there 5 days or so) then CX BKK back to DFW via LAX AA LAX DFW. Same 180K award? I have flown CX F before never in BA or QF. I would like to try BA if possible Thanks for any input. |
I assume you are wanting to use American Airlines miles for this award.
The following would cost 130,000 miles for a business class and 180,000 miles for a first class award: DFW-LHR-BKK-DFW (19,698 countable trip miles) The following would cost 150,000 miles for a business class and 230,000 miles for a first class award: DFW-SYD-HKG-BKK-LHR-DFW (24,896 countable trip miles) DFW-SYD-SIN-HKG-LHR-DFW (24,817 countable trip miles) The following would cost 190,000 miles for a business class and 280,000 miles for a first class award: DFW-HKG-SYD-BKK-LHR-DFW (28,073 countable trip miles) DFW-HKG-SYD-SIN-LHR-DFW (28,126 countable trip miles) Obviously, the order you travel to these cities makes a big difference in the cost of the award. The above assumes that you would have a stopover in each city (and in no other cities). I recommend that you review this thread. |
Thank you! Will review
