OW Lounge in Denpasar (DPS)?

Has anybody used the lounge at DPS?
If so, I would welcome comments, location etc & any other useful info about the airport.

It's a shared lounge and quite nice. The location, as you would imagine, is at the airport. Airside, after lots of security and payments of fees. Has a decent selection of food and drinks. Big picture windows that overlook the bay and tarmac. A couple of computers, though unless upgraded they are very slow. Don't know about elite access since it's a contract lounge, but certainly business class will get you in.

agree with darren that the lounge is quite nice, especially the view over the tarmac. you can even go outside onto a roof deck, but that is the 'smoking' section of the lounge. the only drawback is the lack of elevators and it is 2 flights of stairs up.

There are valets waiting to take your luggage to the lounge with a Balinese smile and courtesy

The airport is functional but not very good. Immigration has long queues. If you are doing mileage turnaround contact CX rep before clearing immigarion. The agent will open locked doors and whiz you through to departure
Good duty fre with very cheap perfumes

An excellent lounge, one of my favorites. Maybe because I wasn't expecting much (I had just been at CX's Lounge Pacific in KIX, which was underwhelming), but I was seriously impressed with it, especially the outdoor patio (never seen that anywhere else) and the very large food spread.

There are two shared lounges at DPS. The lounge near gate 6 is signposted as CX, yet this weekend I was sent to the lounge at gate 1. This lounge is used by SQ and a myriad of other airlines.

The lounge I used:
  • was up a lengthy flight of steps with no porter available nor an elevator
  • had 3 computer monitors
  • had an extensive array of food, with very attentive wait staff
  • had a large comfortable lounge
  • I did not see an outside area, although admittedly I was at the computer for much of my stay

My flight was at gate 9, a lengthy hike at extreme opposite ends of the terminal. I was on the 9am departure from DPS, and wondered if the lounge nearer gate 9, signposted as CX, was not open as early as the lounge at gate 1.

I deliberately took the 9am flight from DPS, as last year I had a ghastly wait in the immigration queue. I was there for about 90 minutes, and in the end CX had to hold the flight as so many of us were stuck in immigration. The airport was dead quiet at 7am when I arrived this year, and only 5 people were ahead of me at immigration. I was happily thru check in, immigration, and in the lounge in 5 minutes.
