AAdvantage miles in Asia on LONE4
Screwed up the original Title - should have been LONE4.
Need help maximizing AAdvantage miles while transiting Asia. The only definate Asian stop is BKK but even that can be done via a cheapie flight from Singapore if I need other segments for milage. I thought their was a Finn Air flight btw Singapore and HK but I can't find it. Anyone have info on this? Also, When flying to the states from Asia, what is the best flight for earning miles? Thanks. |

AY operates 3 times a week BKK-HKG-BKK (AY91 and AY92 -- operates Tues/Thurs/Sat) but no F on their planes. The other 4 days it is BKK-SIN-BKK (these flights are tag ends to HEL-BKK).
There used to be a QF flight SIN-HKG (might be seasonal), and of course there are several CX flights on that route so no real need for other OW carriers. Maximizing mileage is HKG-KHI but might not be the best choice of destination. Best use of an A sector is HKG-NRT-HKG as CX has extra-good F service to Japan in order to attract high-end Japanese business. Good mileage though not the longest, but by far the best inter-Asia flight. |
