Help - DONE4 ex IST

Hey - back a cpl months ago there were various posts on DONE4 ex IST..
I had my itin all up and running and looking to purchase my tickets next week. Upon emailing BA IST, they told me the fare ex IST is NOT in USD anymroe but in EUR NOW 4150 EUR not 4999 USD
Can someone confirm this???????

Here we go again. WAW first, now IST, what next, CAI?

Qantas has the fare leves updated on May 9th and that file still says USD 4999 for Turkey. I think there's not much you can do if BA says it's now in EUR...anyway Turkey is getting closer to EU all the time so maybe they have opted to go for EUR instead of USD...who knows...difference is around 200-300eur @ current $/€ rate.

When I first heard I almost flipped out. I automatically thought of GBP, and was like F$%K it is now 8g's....!!!
Yeah so approximately 300-400 more now.
I called BA RTW US to confirm and it is correct, AS OF APRIL1, 2005 all RTW out of IST is now EUR

Book on AA, US$. Book on BA Euros. So much for integrated products and services !

I thought you can't book RTW ex IST on AA, since Tal does not issue RTW from there.
Unless that has changed within the past cpl months..??

Correct. Unlike WAW Tal in Istanbul says they don't do tickets.

This happened (sort of) at WAW a couple of months ago. BA started quoting a fare in PLN (Zlotych) that translated to a lot more than US$5000 for a DONE4. Tal sold a few at $5K ticketed by AA (which has a BA codeshare to WAW - none to IST because they have TK as a partner) then the whole starfile changed to the PLN basis and nuked the benefit of Poland as a start point.

Sic transit gloria bargains I suppose. Enjoy Croatia or Bulgaria while you can.

All transactions in Turkey (and IST) are now in euros.I was there yesterday and the duty free shops and all food court prices are in euros.
