Mine is an e-ticket, not paper or hand written. So hopefully I will be ok if I need to have it reissued (hopefully won't need to).

I doubt you'd even need to see an agent, I assume they can reissue the ticket over the phone.

That would certainly save some effort and time.

This means that a OneWorld Explorer ticket created and issued by, say, Qantas using Armadeus may not be visible in its entirity to an AA agent using Sabre. Typicaly only the AA segments and the inbound and outbound connecting sectors are pushed across.

Similarly if the itineray is created by the AA RTW desk, it will be built in Sabre. This means a QF agent using Armadeus will not be able to see the entire reservation.

My current RTW ticket has three different reservation confirmation codes, with different ones for the QF/BA flights, CX flights and AA flights.

Since my reservation was created in Sabre by my TA, am assume an AA agent will be better able to re-issue the ticket (since they can see the entire itinerary in Sabre) rather than a QF, BA or CX agent who can probably only see portions of the journey.

Do you know of a way to see your entire reservation in Sabre with the AA rec loc? I made a reservation through AA RTW desk and have their rec loc but it doesn't work on any of the online interfaces to Sabre. Or do I need to somehow get the Sabre PNR?

You should be able to see it on AA.com. It's always worked for me when I book through AA RTW.

on AA.com I can see it - but I want to see it as a GRS reservation/record to see the entire record. The problem on AA.com is that:
- I don't see any of the open sectors
- I don't see seat assignments or maps for non-AA segments.

Why can't I see it on VirtuallyThere.com?

I can see mine on www.virtuallythere.com and from there can even send it ot my PocketPC via AvantGo, which is pretty cool. I just use the Sabre reservation ID and surname. I am also prompted for my email address as provided to the TA. So maybe there is something tyhe TA has to do in order for the reservation to be visible at VirtuallyThere.com.

We just started with this Travel Consultant organisation this month and this is my first booking through them. Previously we used a TA that booked in Galileo.
