what ticket type?
 

as the search function is down i can;t look for this so another possibly pointless thread.

I am looking into travel plans for a friend of mind who has to go to Cape town in may and then onto to melbourne for another conference. he will be travelling in at least business, so what type of ticket would be required? I think that it is a DONE am i correct?

also as Ireland is very expensive to start a trip from what country should he buy the ticket in. his company have many office around europe so no problems purchasing it anywhere

If your friend wants to go around the world rather than a Europe-Africa-Australia return, he will need at least a four-continent xONE ticket, DONE4 (business) or AONE4 (first class). Refer to the two "sticky" threads at the top of this forum for guidelines on rules and pricing. Generally the cheapest prices for these tickets ex-Europe are from Eastern Europe or Egypt. Note the trip has to start from the country where ticketed, so he would need to go to that city first, even if only to pick up the tickets and continue on.
