I'm waitlisted on a flight JFK-SFO in mid-June. It's showing F4 A0. I'm on a AONE3 ticket. Who can I call to see if I can get a seat released?
Thanks

I don't think there's such a thing as a "cheapie" ticket on that route, although the first part of your advice is ok. If the OP has NA segments to burn and doesn't mind a bit of a slog, YVR-DFW-LAX on AA is of course a choice.

BTW, not that it's really OT but when we flew YVR-LAX on AS last month (in the front cabin) we discovered the real meaning of "no service". The FA distributed the peanuts and a beverage, then disappeared.

When one is spending $6500-8500 on an AONEx, $300 seems like a cheapie to me. YMMV. ;)

Sorry about your AS experience. All airlines have their bad days (and their bad employees). I fly AS F quite a bit (commute to Seattle for GF), and I almost always get very good service.

I just had the same problem on a AONE3. All my selected flights (except the last two, which I left open) were available except the BOS-SAN transcon. The RTW desk agent, who was excellent, tried HQ to get that released, but no go. Still on appeal, but in the meantime I'm on BOS-LAX-SAN. I don't understand, would they rather take that seat for a last-minute upgraded EXP over a paid fare?

Indeed our northbound was LAX-SEA and the service was fine. I think there's competition on that route, while YVR-LAX is only served by AC, not likely to win many hearts, minds, or butts from AS.

Also dont seem that they want you to fly Biz class either

Haven;t been able to get a seat out of CPT-LHR or JNB-LHR on a DONE4, all seats are booked in September & October i.e A0 or D0...that seems a little odd to me.

Is it that they release discounted FIRST & CLUB closer to the date of travel? becuase I can;t not belive that all A & D's are sold out.

I see loads of availability (A9 & D9) on BA 58 throughout sept and oct 05.

Edited to add: same thing with BA 56, wide open.
