Reworked RTW
Thanks to all of you who helped me with the initial routing of my AONE3. However, due to time constraints and some changes in my schedule (upcoming meetings in LAS and YVR) I had to rework my iteniary. The new one will be
WAW-LHR-SIN-HKG-NRT-HKG-JFK-DFW-ANC-DFW-LAS-DFW-YVR-LHR // DXB-LHR-WAW Will it work? Thanks in advance Best |
The itinerary looks valid to me, subject of course to your intended dates, given that service to ANC is seasonal.
|
It is valid, by why would you choose a surface sector LHR//DXB instead of flying LHR-DXB-LHR? It is a nice flight in A, and you are within the allowed segments. The ANC service is operated mid-June to mid-September (roughly); you can't use an AA codeshares on AS. Rumor has it that the ORD-ANC flight from past years will not be resumed in 2005 but might be an AS codeshare, hopefully DFW-ANC will be on AA metal but that remains to be seen. At the moment it is in the AA schedule and bookable so your ticket can be issued and AA will reroute you if the flight schedule is changed.

Thanks.

Just called the AA desk and they told me that you couldn't travel in F on CX 830 HKG-JFK on a AoneX ticket. Is this correct?

Hey Bowman.
FYI On 4th Jan, I travelled on CX 830 from HKG to JFK as part of an AONE6. I was booked on the AA codeshare flight which was AA 6090. I travelled in the first cabin, and my booking was in A class. Now either the AA person is highly knowledgable, and is telling you you can't book in F because you need to be booked in A with an AONE ticket; or they are not. Best wishes with the AA desk. John. edited for spelling error |
Chatter on the board seems to suggest that CX are keeping A0 on this route, though it may open up closer to the time. Plan to to via YVR and keep trying closer to the time.
I quite like the trip via YVR, soaking up the time in CX F. |

It's F4 A0 already. (travelling in June). Looks rather disappointing. Best |

OT: Both of these flights are operated by 757. Seatguru suggests what First seats to avoid but doesn't make any particular recommendations for seats to go for. Anyone got a recomendation? My priority will be sleep as I am doing LHR-ORD-ANC-ORD-SJU-MIA-LAX-HKG-CTS-HKG back to back. |

How can you guys be going to Alaska in June and not staying for the solstice? Major big deal. Reverse your routes - c'mon, now.
