AONE6 validity/ improvement

Hi Folks

Thank you all for your earlier help.

I just wanted to see if this is allowed:

SYD-hnl-dfw-scl-ccs-scl-lax-bos-orf-ord-LHR-dxb-LHR-ist-LHR-CPT-JNB-HKG-dps-hkg-SYD

MileageMonkey v0.3 says it is OK but I just wanted to check with you that you can travel between North and South America like that? (I thought you couldn't go back to a continent)

Also, given that I must travel to HNL, ORF and LHR in that order, can I improve upon the AAmileage?

Many thanks

Assuming you are stopping in HNL (and/or DFW) this itinerary would not be valid as you are entering North America twice. You are only allowed to re-enter North-America twice if one of them is just a transit without stop-over to South-America which does not seem to be the case in your itinerary.

Agreed with the above - the routing is only valid if one of SYD-...-SCL or SCL-...-LHR consists of transits without stopovers in the US.

Also be aware that you have a lot of flights with no F so it seems a bit of a waste of an AONE6.
(SYD-HNL, LHR-IST-LHR, HKG-DPS-HKG, JNB-HKG unless Nov-Jan; all the AA 2-class domestics would get F on a DONE6)

The BOS-ORF-ORD flights would be on American Eagle with Coach only (the wrost possible value you can get out of an AONE). You could maybe buy a separate ticket for ORF and use the 2 AONE segments somewhere else (an additional return in F in Asia with CX, for example HKG-NRT-HKG, HKG-SIN-HKG, ...)

Not entirely. The AE flights book into Y inventory -- the highest priority fare code sold by Eagle, and offered even on overbooked flights. So you are almost guaranteed a seat on those flights, no matter what; and some are quite expensive to purchase. The rule change making AE flights book into Y occured less than a year ago and isn't well known, but it is there and quite nice (for D and A fares).
